Jacobs said he also believes he knows where Burress is not headed. “There is no chance Plaxico Burress is a New York Giant after he comes home,” Jacobs said. “None.” Jacobs was and remains Burress’ closest friend on the Giants, and he cannot express in words how happy he is that his buddy finally is getting released from prison. On Monday, Burress will walk out of Oneida Correctional Facility in Rome, N.Y., having served 20 months for shooting himself in the right thigh with an illegal handgun on Nov. 29, 2008.

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – Philadelphia Eagles rookie defensive end Brandon Graham underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The operation was performed by noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews. According to head coach Andy Reid, Graham, along with safety Nate Allen, who had surgery Tuesday to repair a torn patellar tendon in his right leg, will soon begin rehabilitation on their respective injuries. Graham, who was taken 13th overall in this year’s draft out of Michigan, suffered his injury in Week 14′s 30-27 win at Dallas.
